The sufferer of a four-car accident Friday has been recognized as Christine Howe, 61, of Florence.
Ravalli County Sheriff/Coroner Steve Holton mentioned his workplace “sends condolences, ideas, and prayers to Mrs. Howe’s household and our neighborhood throughout this time of grief.”
Howe and her two canines had been killed late Friday afternoon in a four-car accident on Freeway 93 simply north of Florence.
The accident occurred at 5:21 p.m. in between Florence and the Ravalli County line.
The girl was headed northbound when she slowed to make a left-hand flip into her driveway, mentioned Montana Freeway Patrol Sgt. Scott Bennett. Her Toyota 4Runner was struck from behind by a GMC Yukon pushed by a 19-year-old Hamilton man.
The collision pushed the 2 autos into the southbound lane the place they had been hit by a Dodge pickup pushed by a 31-year-old Missoula man and a Toyota RAV pushed by a 66-year-old Stevensville girl.
The Florence girl died on the scene, Bennett mentioned. The opposite drivers had been transported the hospital. All survived the wreck.
Bennett mentioned the wreck closed down the freeway and site visitors was rerouted for a time to Previous Freeway 93 between Florence and Lolo. The investigation didn’t point out that extreme pace or impairment performed a job within the accident, he mentioned.
